About the event
Ruggero Leoncavallo’s La bohème offers a fascinating alternative to Puccini’s celebrated opera, drawing on the same source: Henri Murger’s Scènes de la vie de bohème. Premiered at Teatro La Fenice in Venice in 1897, Leoncavallo’s version presents the lives, loves and struggles of the young Parisian bohemians through his distinctive musical language.
As a member of the Regio Ensemble, Adrian Autard performs the tenor role of Un signore in this new production at Teatro Regio Torino.
Conducted by Andrea Battistoni and directed by Francesco Micheli, the production features sets by Davide Signorini, costumes by Giada Masi, choreographic movements by Matteo Ceccarelli and lighting by Gianni Bertoli, together with the Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Regio Torino.
